A Quake Champion rises!

POSTED BY Grauling June 24, 2019

Quake duel is the ultimate showcase for FPS skill, the original esport. In Quake it’s all about you. No one to depend on, no one to blame but yourself; you must perfect all your skills: movement, aim, timing, positioning, mind games and more. Today we are happy to announce the signing of Greg ‘cha1n’ Bouevitch, our Quake Champion!

“My name is Greg ‘cha1n’ Bouevitch and I am a professional Quake Champions player. I’ve played other FPS games from Overwatch to CS:GO, but none fulfill my competitive drive like Quake does. I have had decent results both online and off. Online, I won the first monthly QuakeOpenLeague NA Elite tournament, bringing home 650$. Offline, my best LAN performance was winning the CSL 2v2 tournament at Quakecon 2018, bringing home $25k. Being in Canada, I would rank myself as the third best player from NA. Only two players currently give a hard time, Team Liquids Rapha and DaHanG, and I am looking to overtake them.
However, this is way easier said than done, these players are really, really good. That is why I decided to team up with Team Singularity. They give me the tools and confidence to bring my game to the next level. My next goals are to get my aim nice and consistent and to remain calm and disciplined when under pressure. I am looking forward to my next boot camp in Dallas Texas, as I prepare for Quakecon 2019 at the end of July!”

“I’m excited to start working with Greg, and to house a Quake player in the Team Singularity operations. We’ve had a period for a while now where we haven’t started operations in game titles outside of the core we’ve previously been engaged in, but when Greg got on my radar I had to pursue the option of acquiring a Quake Champion. I hope Team Singularity can provide a framework for Greg to grow as a player and further develop his skills.”
