The ALGS Pro League started back in October, we aced the regular season and made a statement on the playoffs, we are your South American Apex Legends Champions!
Regular season
The Pro League regular season consisted of 4 groups, A, B, C and D. Each group played 6 rounds of 6 games each for points towards the playoffs qualification. As expected, we stayed consistent winning 4 out of the 6 rounds of the regular season and qualifying to the playoffs in 1st place.
EA had announced the playoffs to be an offline event and we were all excited to compete internationally. Unfortunately, our plans to put South America and Team Singularity on the global spotlight were cancelled by COVID’s Omicron variant and the playoffs were separated once again into the normal regions.
Playoffs
It was upsetting to receive this news, but we still wanted the trophy. The team took a short holiday break and went back to business as usual.
We started the games off with the right foot, a win with 11 kills showed we were not like the rest. This, plus the initial 10 points secured for the number 1 seed had us very close to the 50 point “match point eligible” threshold we needed to secure the tournament.
We kept adding decent numbers in the next upcoming games until we reached 57 points in game 4. It was our time to shine.
We came out calm and collected with good positioning and taking care of every threat around us. In the end, we had the man advantage, the highground, the utility and everything else to close out what could only be described as a flawless game.
The tournament ended with a total of 81 points and 41 kills, taking home $15.000 USD on the regular season and $50.000 USD on the playoffs! We are the South American Apex Legends Champions and can’t wait to take on other regions!
“Después de mucho trabajo y entrenamiento, conseguimos lograr lo que buscábamos, lo cual era ganar la liga y los playoffs. Gracias a todos los que nos apoyaron desde que comenzó el split y desde aquí seguiremos trabajando para crecer aún más que todavía hay mucho para demostrar”
Felipe “Elysium” Zapata
“I am very excited for the future of this team. Every time I watch them it feels unfair to everyone else in the lobby! I have no doubt they will show up big time against other regions.”
Manuel “Lampago” Castro
