This past weekend saw the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs where following three years without an offline event for Apex Legends, it was time to step back into the Arena, as teams came together in Stockholm.
Heading into the event, the team were incredibly motivated to put South America on the map and showcase the talent that they have. Unfortunately, we received notification that Lucas “artiNN1” Cafure, our IGL for the Apex Legends roster would be unable to compete due to contracting COVID-19.
Following the months of preparation, and due to artiNN1 reporting a positive case of COVID, we were unfortunately left on the morning of the tournament without a replacement player which would ultimately result in the duo of Felipe “Elysium” Zapata and Hernandes “Besk9” Mateus dos Santos competing to prove what they could do.
Despite the situation at hand, the team fought to the very end showcasing how much they cared about the event, refusing to throw the towel in when everything seemed lost. We did fall into the lower bracket, facing elimination where we would see our event come to an end.
Even in the toughest situations, our players continue to prove that they have the heart and determination of champions, and in July 2022, the team looks to showcase their talent on the global stage, with a full-team on the field for the Apex Legends Global Series 2022 Championship.
No fim de semana passado, os playoffs do ALGS Split 2, após três anos sem um evento offline para Apex Legends, era hora de voltar para a Arena, quando as equipes se reuniram em Estocolmo.
Antes do evento, a equipe estava incrivelmente motivada para colocar a América do Sul no mapa e mostrar o talento que eles têm. Infelizmente, recebemos a notificação de que Lucas “artiNN1” Cafure, nosso IGL para a lista de Apex Legends, não poderia competir devido à contratação do COVID-19.
Após os meses de preparação, e devido ao artiNN1 relatar um caso positivo de COVID, infelizmente ficamos na manhã do torneio sem um jogador substituto o que acabaria resultando na dupla de Felipe “Elysium” Zapata e Hernandes “Besk9” Mateus dos Santos competindo para provar o que podiam fazer.
Apesar da situação, a equipe lutou até o fim mostrando o quanto se importava com o evento, recusando-se a jogar a toalha quando tudo parecia perdido. Nós caímos na chave inferior, enfrentando a eliminação onde veríamos nosso evento chegar ao fim.
Mesmo nas situações mais difíceis, nossos jogadores continuam provando que têm o coração e a determinação de campeões e, em julho de 2022, a equipe busca mostrar seu talento no cenário global, com uma equipe completa em campo para o Apex Legends Campeonato da Série Global 2022.
