As ALGS is over we come away satisfied with the tournament. We showed our strength but were not able to secure the result that we hoped for.
We came into the tournament with the hopes of proving our strength, we had strong results in SA and we were looking to prove our strength in front of the world. We had struggled in Sweden as we were forced to play as a duo but we managed to still show that we have what it takes.
After being very strong in the group stages with some wins and placing in the top 5 of each group we were hopeful. We finished 4th overall after groups showing that we have what it takes to compete with the best of the best. With this result we were confident going into the upper bracket.
Our upper bracket run wasn’t what we had hoped for after we missed out on the top 10 by just a few points. With this we moved into the lower round 2 where we hoped to bounce back. However, we continued to struggle in the lower round 2 and eventually fell again by just a few points and finishing 24th overall.
We hoped for a better result but we represented South America and proved that we have what it takes to take on the world. We will be back for more and next time taking home the trophy.
“Whilst we would have liked more from the event, the team showed a lot of promise throughout. We are extremely proud of them for competing against the best of the best, and we will come back stronger than ever. Bring on Year 3 of ALGS.”

Relatório do Campeonato Mundial ALGS
