After Ultra Academy NA narrowly missed out on the win in Toronto they were looking for Redemption in Boston. Similarly Ultra Academy EU were hoping to bounce back from their result in Toronto. Both teams saw a roster change with the NA team gaining Assault for Mohak and EU with Gismo leaving and Weeman joining.
Both teams were looking strong going into the event with Ultra Academy NA being the first seed and EU being 3rd seed. They had both also shown dominance in the cups and were confident going into the event.
Ultra Academy EU had a clean run until they had to face Ultra Academy NA where they narrowly lost in the winners final and they had to face Electrify Steel in the Losers final where they fell 2-3. The team finished 3rd overall with a great performance but next time they’re going for gold.
Ultra Academy NA had a very smooth run through the event after being top seed they cleaned up every team in front of them and eventually they took on Electrify Steel in the Grand final where they clutched up and won the tournament. A very dominant performance from Scrappy across the whole tournament secured him tournament MVP.
Overall, the boys smashed the tournament bringing home more silverware and we can only hope for a 1st and 2nd finish for the teams next time. See you at champs.
