Following a successful end to the European Pro League, we caught up with Nestee to discuss his thoughts following the teams first championship win.
Q – The team has played to an extremely high standard and we’ve witnessed huge development over the last few months. What has been the teams key to success?
A – The first key factor in our massive development is that we’ve have been playing together for over a year now. That’s how we know each other very well and that helps a lot in our development. Another key factor is that we are all on the same page, we have similar goals as players and everyone is doing their best to achieve that. Finally, we must remember about GamerTech Magma glove, which help us keep our hands warm, making us more stable in terms of shooting.
Q – What were the teams thoughts and did anything help with the preparation for the EPL game which saw us crowned Division 2 champions?
A – Everyone was highly motivated to win the whole tournament. We knew from the beginning that it was within reach, we just had to approach the matches with the right mentality. To be honest, we didn’t prepare much for the tournament itself, it was crucial to develop a team mentality during the tournament, which allowed us to win the grand final.
Q – What personally has changed for you over the last 6 months? Do you feel you are performing at a higher level than previously?
A – I definitely feel like I’m performing at a higher level than six months ago. By playing a lot of games against very good teams, I’m starting to get the experience I need, so I’m growing mentally as a player. In addition GamerTech Sub-Zero glove helps me regenerate my wrist, which is exposed to many unnatural movements.
Q – When you get some spare time, what is it that you are doing to have some down time?
A – I am in such a place in my career that I spend most of my free time on individual training in CS and developing knowledge about the game. I don’t feel like I deserve a rest. I have to grind whenever I can, but when it happens that I need some time off from CS, I like to watch anime. In the future, I would like to add some physical activity to make my body feel better.
Q – Do you have a message for any of the SNGARMY following such a successful period for the team?
A – My message to SNGARMY is to support us even in difficult periods and remember that this is only a beginning of our journey.
