Parting Ways with the FIFA Roster

POSTED BY Webmaster May 4, 2022

We want to say a huge thank you to our FIFA Roster consisting of:

  • Nicolai “Grøn” Grønnemose
  • Lasse “OneWayCrazyy” Kristiansen
  • Maher “TeamHajj” Hajj
  • Jacob “Gee”  Nielsen-Gee (Manager/Coach)

We are very proud of the team for their achievements and longevity of their relationship with Team Singularity, and we wish them all the best in the future.

FIFA was an esport that we expanded into on 27th July 2020 with the signing of Al-Bacha, Grøn, Kolo and OneWayCrazyy. From there, we were able to form a successful partnership with Randers FC Esports, who would be by our side through the entire journey in FIFA. Kolo would depart the team in October 2021, followed by Al-Bacha in early 2022. Esser decided that following his success at eSuperliga Season 7, that he would retire. He briefly came out of retirement competing for Wolverhampton Wanderers placing 3rd-4th at the International Invitational Cup 2022 before retiring for the second time.

Competing at eSuperliga Season 5, the team placed sixth. The following season we turned up hoping to prove people wrong and have a successful weekend, however it was not meant to be as we would fall early, placing only fourteenth. From there, we decided that the next season was ours. Following a very eventful season of eSuperliga, we would go onto place first and be crowned Champions of eSuperliga Season 7.

We were originally scheduled to compete in eSuperliga Season 8 a few months ago, before the postponement of the tournament was announced. Overall, we have had several eventful years competing in FIFA, and we could not be prouder of the team. The team had some low points, and bounced back to claim the title, and we wish them the best in the future.

“Never did I imagine that we would end our road with the extremely talented FIFA guys in Denmark, but with the postponement of eSuperliga and the season being more or less over other than one FGS playoffs remaining, we have decided to close the DK side of Team Singularity’s FIFA team. These guys deserve everything, the hard work they have put in every day has not gone unnoticed and the proof is there… They won eSuperliga. Gron, Maher, Lasse, Jacob, you will be missed very much and I am sad that for now we are parting ways and I wish you the best of luck for the Playoffs & the remainder of the year.”

Curtis Bottomley, CGO

“It’s incredibly hard to have to say goodbye to Team Singularity on top of the success we’ve experienced as a team. Maher, Lasse and Nicolai have been exemplary players and I have enjoyed every second with them. I only hope for the best for Team Singularity going forward, and hope to see them on the FIFA stage again in the future.”

Jacob Gee, FIFA Manager
