Qualified for RLCS Winter

POSTED BY Webmaster January 21, 2022

Our Rocket League roster has qualified for the first regional event of the RLCS 21-22 Winter split!

Last Friday and Saturday Chippy, Polar and Justuszzz had a smooth run through the double elimination open qualifier of the first RLCS event of 2022 as they did not lose a single series! On Sunday we had to prove ourselves in the closed qualifier Swiss format. All matches were held in one day.

The SNG players had to face our qualifier rivals Williams Resolve first. It was a breath-taking match, but we couldn’t close the series in the decider match and lost 2-3.

Not the start we hoped for, but it was time to look forward, forget about the loss and try even harder in the next matches. With a lot of motivation and hype we secured the victories over MAMT (3-0) and Savage! (3-1)

At this point we were up 2-1 in the Swiss format. One final win was enough to qualify for the main event.

The strong looking team Triple Trouble was the opponent for the next series. We were still hyped from the last matches and started the series with a bang. Triple Trouble fought themselves back into the series and was able to win two overtimes. It all went down to the decider in game 5. No goals in the regular time going into overtime. After 2 breath-taking minutes Chippy scored the final goal and qualified us for the RLCS Main Event #1 in the Winter Split!
