Rocket League team update

POSTED BY Webmaster November 12, 2020

Today we are announcing our latest Rocket League roster switch.

With rostermania shuffle ongoing in the Rocket League esports scene during the off-season and us not qualifying for the first EU major, our team decided that they needed a change.

It’s with a saddened heart we are announcing that long-term Singularity player ‘Godsmilla’ is going to take the teams’ sub position. Next to him being a substitute player, Godsmilla will also keep producing content under the SNG banner.

On the other hand, we are thrilled to welcome back former Guild Esports player ‘Scrub Killa’ to the roster! He will add a lot of experience to the team, with him winning the World Championship in RLCS season 7 and placing 2nd at worlds in season 8 with Team Vitality.

Scrub is going to play alongside Breezi and Hibbs for the rest of the RLCS X season for Team Singularity.

Rocket League team update overview:

  • George “Breezi” Rusiecki
  • Joseph “Hibbs” Jamie Hibbert
  • Kyle “Scrub Killa” Robertson
  • Leon “Godsmilla” Mares (SUB)
  • Jake “Jake” Edwards (Coach)
  • Jonas “vel” Schaffrick (Team Manager)

Our new team already qualified for the 1st regional event of the RLCS X Winter Split. Watch us play the main event live at 17:00 CET today on https://www.twitch.tv/rocketleague

We also sat down with the players and management to get some comments on the Rocket League team update:

“I’m excited to team up with Breezi and Hibbs in Team Singularity, as I believe we have a dynamic trio that’ll be able to achieve great things together. Looking forward to grind with the squad and show everyone what we are capable of!”

Kyle “Scrub Killa” Robertson, Rocket League player, Team Singularity

“We felt like gameplay and results hit a wall and we couldn’t get past it. With all the roster changes happening Scrub was available and we decided to pick him up because we couldn’t miss picking up a player with Scrubs caliber and he would fit the team very well”

George “Breezi” Rusiecki, Rocket League player, Team Singularity

“I’m super excited to be able to bring Scrub Killa to the roster along side Breezi and I. I really look forward to seeing what we can do together in the remaining 2 splits. Breezi and I made this decision in confidence that we will be able to get great results with Scrub.“

Joseph “Hibbs” Jamie Hibbert, Rocket League player, Team Singularity

“Scrub is one of the most famous and high skilled Rocket League players out there and I’m happy to be able to work with him at Team Singularity.

The experience of playing several major & premier LAN tournaments and winning Worlds will have a big impact on the team. Scrub looks like a strong addition to Breezi and hibbs and we are looking forward to the upcoming RLCS X Winter Split!”

Jonas “vel” Schaffrick, Rocket League team manager, Team Singularity

“It obviously hurts that this happened to me 2 seasons in a row, especially within the same organisation, but I have to respect their decision and I wish Breezi, Hibbs and Scrub best of luck this season. Personally, I’m gonna be subbing for them and fully focus on myself, to hopefully make a strong comeback next split”

Leon “Godsmilla” Mares, Rocket League player, Team Singularity

“Rostermania never fails to deliver, and I’m starting to expect the unexpected in all off-seasons. I’m pleased to welcome back the one and only Kyle “Scrub Killa” Robertson, and I’m excited to see how the team will develop throughout the winter split with an experienced player and former world champion in the mix suddenly.
I’m a bit disappointed in how this was handled internally, but sometimes deadlines and rostermania only allow agile decisions even though it might be tough.”
