Welcome ANDYTHEMANDY

POSTED BY Webmaster January 22, 2020

We are excited to announce that Ryan “ANDYTHEMANDY” Gardner is the new coach of our Rocket League team!

“My journey coaching in Rocket League all started when I joined an online community that entered tournaments, mainly the ESL on Sundays and I coached players lightly into becoming better! After I left that online community, I was continuously coaching football at my college course in real life and coaching at schools and events realizing to myself that coaching was the skill that I possessed! After more time spent on Rocket League coupled with the fact the door for football coaching was closed, I soon realized Rocket League was the perfect path to take as a coach. I realized this mostly when id worked with a few players and teams in the pro scene.

Lightly one of the most notable ones is DUTCH BIM BAM where me and ThO first met! We worked together nearly every day and tried to improve the team he had to a point of making RLRS. We even attended a LAN event in Paris where I coached Rocket League for the first time in person. I was happy with this team and felt we had a future until they decided to split due to personal reasons.

This left me searching for a new challenge in Rocket League around May of 2019. I was approached to help an RLCS team – this included preparing them for LAN in New Jersey and attending it to help them. There I picked up even more in-person experience and just learnt so much more about the top of the Rocket League Esports scene. I then found myself looking around once more for a new team to be working with and during this time, I gently helped a few friends by coaching them personally 1 on 1 until Team Singularity approached me. Their roster was about to face the RLCS promotion tournament and felt they needed a slight push in the right direction to make it. I helped them for the whole week leading up to the tournament! We performed on the day and rightly earned our spot in the RLCS; this helped solidified me as their coach for the next season and I could not be happier to work with them and can’t wait to see what our future holds at Team Singularity!”

Ryan “ANDYTHEMANDY” Gardner

“I’m happy to welcome Ryan ”ANDYTHEMANDY” Gardner onboard our Rocket League squad, and I hope his expertise and structure can help the team thrive in the RLCS and get the results desired.”

“With Ryan ‘ANDYTHEMANDY’ Gardner we got another talent picked up under the Team Singularity brand. After our player roster played an insane first RLRS season finishing top four we were more than happy to celebrate our achievement of making it into the RLCS! Of course this is not any point we can sit down and relax. This is why we strengthen our team with Ryan joining us as full-time coach!

Jonas “vel” Schaffrick, Team Manager

“With ThO already having worked with Ryan and him helping us out analyzing and preparing the team for the successful promotion tournament this decision was a no-brainer for us. Ryan already proved himself coaching a LAN RLCS team as well as IRL football. We are looking forward to our first RLCS season and are getting ready to prove everyone what we are capable of.”
