POSTED BY Webmaster June 1, 2020

Please welcome our newest Singularity family members! Our new League of Legends team 💚

  • Belan “TakeSet” Ahour
  • Olof “Flaxxish” Hagberg Medin

The NLC 2020 Summer Season is the first season of Northern Europe’s rebranded league as a result of the merger between the UKLC and the Nordic Championship. In the summer season, twelve teams compete in a round robin group stage.

Format:

  • 12 invited teams are split into two groups
  • Top four teams of each group qualify for Playoffs
  • Bottom two teams, one from each group, drop down to Relegation

”After our run in the EU Masters, the whole team split up and I stayed behind to rebuild the roster, and I’m happy Atle trusted me with that, as it was a great experience where I learned a lot even though it was very stressful. I got Torok on board as the new head coach and we worked many sleepless nights watching vods, scouting and hosting tryouts.

There was many bumps along the way, this offseason especially with less than 3 weeks to build the whole roster, but we managed to piece the puzzle in the end.

I’m happy with the roster we have gotten and believe we can get a high standing in the NLC”.

Andreas “Skude” Aarlund Skude, Player, Team Singularity

“I couldn’t be more excited to join Team Singularity for the inaugural season of the NLC. We have focused on developing a winning team, which blends together veterans and talents yet to show their full potential at the highest level.”

James “Torok” Thomsen

“It was a pleasure to re-enter League of Legends at the start of 2020, and I’m excited for the Nordic League development and happy to have Singularity represented in the NLC. Skude was the one convincing me to get back into League of Legends and after the Danish team, that won Nordic championship spring, decided to split after EU Masters in early May, then I couldn’t see myself piece together a new roster without continuing my partnership with Skude as one of the puzzle pieces. We started our team scouting with the acquisition of a head coach hungry for proving himself, and I’m super excited to have James “Torok” Thomsen onboard as our general approach in various matters are very similar.

I’m looking forward to see all the new talents in action when the league starts later this month, and I’m thrilled to start a journey with a dedicated team of players hungry for glory.”
